Pre-tech is free but must be done by appointment only. If you are 20 miles or more from any of the designated SpeedTrial USA pre-tech stations, you can tech at the track for free. However if you live within 20 miles of a pre-tech station and you do not get it done before comign to the track, the inspection is $20.
